Tni Cell 87
TNI recommends acquiring other service weapons for use in situations where silenced pistols or shotguns would be inapproriate (i.e. not effective enough and too illegal).
fullstock shotguns: Mossberg 590 or Remington 870. Both come in 5+1 or 7+1 configurations. Can be easily modified with tactical lights, recoil reducing stocks, side-saddles, and slings.
Rifles: TNI does not provide access or training (in normal circumstances) for rifles. The unofficial recommendation given, is to use a civilian hunting rifle chambered in the 30-06 caliber.
Revolvers: Revolvers are more reliable and harder to trace, forensically, so should not be discounted as a service weapon. All modern revolver fire between 5 and 8 shots depending on caliber. Recomended caliber are between .38 and .44 (not including 44 magnum).
Semi-auto’s: For compact use, Walther ppk’s and Markarov’s are recommended. For general service use, glock 17’s berreta 92f’s and similar service 9mm para are recommended.
Some agents prefer using weapons chambered in .45 or similar.
TNI does NOT recommend or authorize use of fully automatic weaponry without approval, barring special circumstances. This includes assault rifles, submachine guns and submachine pistols.
